Google has taken a small step to strengthen user privacy and security by introducing the Verified SMS feature for android messaging apps. Through its newly introduced feature, Google aims to combat the rise of spam texts.

This will certainly be a game-changer when it comes to A2P messaging as businesses will now be able to enhance their conversations with end-users and increase customers' trust in their brand.

Like how the verified check mark on social media platforms indicate the trustworthiness of a business page, verified SMS brings the same badging and verification to messaging. This new feature will enable businesses to display their brand name and a business logo (not more than 30KB file size and resolution: 240X240) along with a verification badge when sending SMS to consumers.
