Keywords enable your business to establish a connect with your customers. A unique keyword is allotted to you so that all messages sent by your customers containing this keyword is routed directly to you. Your customers will be able to subscribe and unsubscribe to your services through the keyword.

The process for creating and managing keywords is explained below:

Creating Opt-In Keywords and Opt-In Group

Traditionally, SMS campaigns are targeted to those customers who are registered subscribers to your SMS services. You can provide Opt-in SMS to customers to give them an option of subscribing to your transactional/ promotional messages.

An Opt-in SMS generally contains an approved keyword. This keyword will be sent to a 10-digit virtual mobile number. A customer will be added to your group or subscription list, once he/she sends an Opt-in SMS containing your approved keyword to the virtual number.

For this, you need to create your own unique Opt-in Keyword, using which your customers can subscribe to your SMS.You also need to create an Opt-in Group that contains the mobile numbers of your customers who have subscribed to your services.

Note: You will not be able to add additional numbers to this group as numbers can be added only by receiving Opt-in Messages from your customers who wish to subscribe to these services.
